SERVICES

PAT TESTING
  • Portable Appliance Testing, commonly known as PAT testing is practice where electrical appliances are routinely checked for safety.

  • The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition.

  • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 states “the duty of care on both employer and employee to ensure the safety of all persons using the work premises”.

  • Why you need PAT testing. The law requires an employer to ensure that their electrical equipment is maintained in order to prevent danger.

  • What items require PAT testing? Anything that has a plug and can be plugged in requires a PAT test.

  • The HSE states “That 25% of all reportable electrical accidents in the workplace involve portable and transportable electrical equipment”

  • The best way to ensure that your business is compliant and your employees are safe is by having all the appliances in your premises tested and inspected on a regular basis by a certified tester.

  • Our friendly engineers carry out a discreet and efficient service ensuring minimal disruption.

  • Our engineers are qualified to City and Guilds 2377.

  • Notify you of any failed items.

  • Certificate upon completion.

FIXED WIRE TESTING
  • Fixed wire testing or Electrical Inspection Condition Report is a periodic inspection of your premises to prevent any electrical issues and problems.

  • As all electrical installations deteriorate over time and can be the cause of many accidents. The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 require that all electrical installations must be maintained in good conditions.

  • In hours work or our of hours work to suit your needs.

  • We offer a free bespoke quote service for the remedial repair of any defects detected during testing.

  • Our testing is built around your business to minimise lengthy downtime or interruption to your business.

  • Our fully qualified engineers hold qualifications City and Guilds 2391 / 2395, 17th Edition IEE wiring regulations.

  • Certification accredited by NICEIC

FAULT FINDING

If you are experiencing any problems or have an issue with your existing installation. Rest assured, with a collective 80+ years electrical experience we can find the problem.

EMERGENCY LIGHT TESTING
  • All emergency light fittings are maintained and inspected to keep your lights operating safely and efficiently by testing key switches, batteries, luminaries and control equipment.

  • Log book for the specified area tested.In hours or out of hours to suit your needs.

  • We offer a free bespoke service offering remedial repair of any defects detected during testing.

  • We offer annual, 6 monthly and monthly tests.Testing Certificate to comply with BS 5266 Part 1: 2005. All light fittings tested to their rated period. 

  • NICEIC certification emailed upon completion.

FIRE ALARM TESTING
  • Most fires are preventable. Those responsible for workplaces and other buildings to which the public have access can avoid them by taking responsibility for and adopting the right behaviors and procedures.

  • Employers (and/or building owners or occupiers) must carry out a fire safety risk assessment and keep it up to date. This shares the same approach as health and safety risk assessments and can be carried out either as part of an overall risk assessment or as a separate exercise.

  • Our fully qualified engineers carry out your test complying with the requirements as set out in BS5839.

  • Testing and inspection of all smoke detectors, call points, break glass, bells, sounders, beacons.

  • NICEIC test certificate issued.

  • We offer a free bespoke service offering remedial repair of any defects detected during testing.
